The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it's alarmed about the significant quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is here no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area daily. The assistance position designed for intervention encounters a high inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes website it difficult for that office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to help the servicing of all buyers and enhance access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
